What is Colon Hydrotherapy?

A healthy colon is the key to living a healthy life.  Colon hydrotherapy is an excellent way to achieve this objective.  This therapy is a method for cleansing the body of potentially harmful substances the body has been unable to discharge by itself.  Colon hydrotherapy involves the gentle infusion of gravity fed, purified, temperature controlled water into the colon through a disposable tube (about the thickness of a pencil) into the rectum.  The gentle flow of water helps loosen and soften impacted faecal matter and waste that has built up on the walls of the colon.

Colonics may assist with:-

Equipment Used

Adelaide Colonics maintains the highest standard of hygiene which includes the use of disposable rectal tubes.  This pencil thin tube is self-inserted by you into the rectum about 1 - 2 inches.  This is unique to the LIBBE device, which is a state of the art TGA and FDA registered and approved colon hydrotherapy system.  Your certified therapist will assist you through the whole process, or if you prefer you can choose to be left in complete solitude.  We offer a restful ambiance with soft lighting and music, or you can watch TV or one of our health inspiring DVD's.  There is no odour, and the use of disposable apparatus means the equipment is made 'new' every session.   The process is mild and gentle, with a wonderfully light and empty feeling afterwards.

As many of us have as much as 5 kilos or more of impacted faecal matter in our colon one treatment is unlikely to completely empty the colon.  The matter built up in our colon is often hardened and rubbery material and a series of colonics is required to allow this material to soften and move out of the body.
